The Taste of Cincinnati USA presented by Budweiser Select and Time Warner Cable marks its 30th anniversary as the nation's oldest continuously running culinary arts event on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati from May 24th through May 26th. The Taste of Cincinnati USA is produced by the Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Association and The Downtown Council, a division of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. The event runs Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25, from noon to midnight, and Monday, May 26, from noon to 9 p.m. Admission to Taste of Cincinnati USA is free. The 2008 Taste of Cincinnati USA features over 40 area restaurants and over 70 musical acts and live cooking demonstrations on the Taste of Cincinnati's five stages. The event returns to the Fountain Square area, spreading across five blocks from Race Street to Broadway along Fifth Street.

"Food as Entertainment" will be a new area at Taste of Cincinnati USA this year. Located at the CiN Weekly stage in the P&G Gardens, cooking demonstrations will be led by local and regional chefs, as well as food authors, in a fully functioning kitchen provided by Restaurant Depot. New restaurants joining the "Taste of Cincinnati USA" this year include Bankok Bistro, Balboa's Philly Steaks & Pizza, Buffalo Southwest Express, Buffalo Wings & Rings, Findlay Market, Italianette, Mama Vita's, Max & Erma's, Mythos Grecian Grill, Rusty Bucket Corner Tavern, Scotty's BBQ and Taz.

"We are thrilled to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Taste of Cincinnati USA," said Jim Moehring, Taste of Cincinnati USA Committee Chair. "Fountain Square is a great venue for the festival and we are looking forward to another successful weekend to celebrate this signature event."

What's New on the Taste Menu

"Look at Me, I'm a VIP"
The Taste of Cincinnati USA and WEBN will offer a special "Look At Me, I'm a VIP" pass for this year's event. This pass will give patrons access to the Taste of Cincinnati USA VIP hospitality area located on Fifth Street between Walnut & Main, as well as allow them to go through a special speed lane at any beer booth throughout the event. The pass is good on the day you purchase it, and there will only be 2,000 passes available for the entire weekend. Patrons can purchase their "Look at Me, I'm a VIP" pass at the WEBN booth located in front of Fountain Square on Fifth Street for just $10.00.

Give Back Cincinnati to collect excess food to benefit the needy
Give Back Cincinnati - a nationally acclaimed network of young professionals - has enlisted more than a dozen volunteers to visit the 42 food booths at the conclusion of Taste of Cincinnati USA on Monday, May 28, to collect excess food and deliver it to the Drop-Inn Center Shelter House in Over the Rhine to feed the needy. This will be the fourth consecutive year Give Back Cincinnati volunteers have stepped up to collect the surplus food at Taste and deliver to those in need.

Procter & Gamble, Bounty, Dawn and Prilosec OTC Brands are sponsors of the Taste of Cincinnati 2008. Bounty is sponsoring the main stage at Fountain Square, while Prilosec OTC is here as the "Official Heartburn Medicine" and Dawn will be on hand to PUMP-UP the Taste of Cincinnati. All three Brands are proud to help make the Taste of Cincinnati a continued success. Through P&G Brands' partnership with the Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network, we are pleased to help promote events like this that make Cincinnati a great place to visit, live and work.

Have you been to the Mr. Clean Performance Car Wash? Be sure to stop by Booth 402 (corner of 5th and Vine) to observe our NEW car wash demonstration. You'll be amazed!
